Alumni Reunion Weekend 2011

Friday, October 14 to Sunday, October 16, 2011

Calling all the Clans, every Bear, Wolf, Turkey and Turtle is invited to come home this summer to Crystal Lake!

CLC Camps Trustees and Camp Directors welcome all camper and staff member alumni to camp to celebrate our time-honored traditions and build a strong future for the next generation of campers.

In 1999 alumni gathered for the 50th anniversary of the first camp at Crystal Lake Camps. Now over 10 years later, as CLC starts the second decade of the 21st century it is fitting to look back at our accomplishments and look forward to how camp will meet the needs of the next generation of campers.

Since our last reunion Crystal Lake Camps has completed the following major milestones:

• Transfer of ownership of the camp property to CLC
• Renovation of Laughlin Lodge to include CLC’s year round staff offices
• Building Kiya - a new four season girl’s cabin with full kitchen
• Building a new 12 stall horse barn
• Building Napavi – a year round residence for the Camp Director
• Renovation of Norman Lodge
• Replacing Seneca and Dunwoody with new summer cabins
• Building a 60 foot climbing wall

Come and see for yourself how CLC continues to develop, while preserving the woods and trails for campers to enjoy and explore.

Post your favorite camp memories and pictures on our website www.crystallakecamps.org on our special reunion blog. Or drop us a line and we will compile a special Reunion Scrapbook with your letter to share with other alumni.

Lost touch with a friend from camp, let us know and we will search our records and if we have current information for that particular CLC camper of staff member we will forward your name and contact details to them.

Show your support for CLC:
Crystal Lake Camps has a long tradition of generously assisting campers to come to camp independent of their ability to afford the fees. Many of CLC’s current campers are still provided camperships in order to attend camp. CLC’s fees do not cover the whole cost of providing camp and maintaining the camp property.

We are truly grateful to all our loyal alumni who show their continued appreciation of what CLC did for them and by helping us provide a world of adventure with spiritual growth to a new generation of CLC campers.
