Employment Statement
As an applicant for a staff position with Crystal Lake Camps, and by submitting this form, I recognize and agree that a member of the CLC staff holds a position of great trust, responsibility, and honor. Being a role model for campers, while carrying out demanding responsibilities and living up to the trust that my campers’ parents have put in me to care for their child, is a job I want to fulfill. My desire to work at Crystal Lake Camps includes:

  1. A faithful and dedicated daily study of Christian Science, which I will apply to all functions of camp.
  2. An affirmation that I will not use or verbally support the use of tobacco, alcohol, drugs of any sort, or profanity.
  3. An affirmation that I will maintain a neat and clean personal appearance, be appropriately dressed, and maintain my personal living area with the same high expectations that are placed on the campers.
  4. A commitment to upholding high moral standards based in honesty and not bearing false witness in my personal and work relationships.
  5. A commitment to not participate in any sexual activity outside of marriage, and I will avoid the appearance of inappropriate activity.
  6. An affirmation that I will not engage in, nor allow the appearance of, any type of intimate relationship with any camper.
  7. An agreement that I will keep my personal relationships private and not allow them to become the topic of conversation among campers.
  8. Recognition that a CLC staff member is entrusted with camper safety and well being and serves as a role model at all times.
  9. Giving my full attention to the campers I am responsible for each day, being sure each individual camper in my cabin and activities gets some period of one-on-one attention from me every day.


    I authorize investigation of all statements herein and release Crystal Lake Camps (“the camp”) and all others from liability in connection with the same. I understand that, if employed I will be an at-will employee and that any agreement to the contrary must be in writing and signed by both the Camp Director AND the Executive Director of the camp. I also understand that untrue, misleading, or omitted information herein may result in dismissal, regardless of the time of discovery by the camp.
