X-Country Skiing
Crystal Lake Camps with its high elevation and unique position in a hidden depression in the mountains make it ideal for holding snow from December through March. An independently run ski center with over 30K of groomed trails offers ski rental and trail passes to both day and overnight visitors.
The groomed and maintained ski trails are suitable for all levels of skiers from gentle slopes, to lake side trails, challenging climbs and breathtaking descents. Ski all day and never have to go over the same trail twice! Whether you are an experienced skier looking for new terrain or a beginner who has never tried cross country skiing, Crystal Lake has a trail that is right for you. Boating and Swimming
Crystal Lake Camps has two lakes suitable for canoeing or kayaking. Guests may bring their own, or rent one of our canoes. All boaters must wear lifejackets at all times. There is a designated swimming area with dock in the main lake. Large groups should provide their own certified lifeguard if they plan to swim in the lake or request that we provide one in advance. All swimming or boating without a lifeguard and without a lifejacket is done at the guest’s own risk.
Hiking and Mountain Biking
Crystal Lake Camps has over 20 miles of hiking and mountain biking trails on the camp’s own property and is accessible to numerous other longer trails in the surrounding area, including the Loyalsock Trail. ATV’s and motorized bikes are not permitted on the CLC trails, as the land is preserved under Pennsylvania’s Clean and Green program.
