Upcoming projects:
- New roofs on Bena and Nikahu
- Drainage project for prevention of erosion at the waterfront
- Renvoation of front bathrooom in Nosoni
Recent projects:
- Renovation of Camp Mom quarters in Bena
- Construction of our Rock-Climbing tower!
- Regrading of the soccer field.
- Renovation of Tawanka into staff housing.
- Construction of Napavi, our new Director's cabin
- New staff lounge in the lower level of the Dining Hall - complete with foosball table!
- New foundations on many of our summer cabins (Nikahu, Nikahu bathroom, Weape, Atira, Wahalla, Ogdonia, JFK bathroom, Genesee) and the outdoor stage.
- JFK Bathroom has new fixtures, (toilets, sinks, showers).
- The porch of the lodge has new ceiling and new floor, the stone walls were repointed and it has new rocking chairs.
- New tennis court fences.
- Kiya, a cabin in the girls' camp for the youngest campers was torn down in the spring of 2001. It is now completely rebuilt and was a big hit in the summer of 2002!
- The brand new cabin in the boys camp was completed in Spring 2002 and was named Seneca.
- The new Dunwoody cabin was completed across the road from Ogdonia in the boys camp.
- New Genesee ceiling.
- Most cabin floors refinished
- Nikahu bathroom upgrade
- New Norman basement (with two new bathrooms)
- New bunks and mattress in almost every summer cabin.
- Renovation of Laughlin Lodge porch for our new camp offices. (see photos)
